Boquete Town Tour
For lovers of specialty coffees and nature. Boquete is the ideal place to visit. Located at 1,200 meters above sea level, in the area of the Baru Volcano. Boquete coffee is famous all over the world, especially the Geisha variety, which reached a record price of US$1,029.00 per pound in 2019. This tour can be done either in one or two days. To get there, tourists will fly from Panama City to the City of David, taking around 45 minutes. The flights depart at 6:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. from Panama City and arrive in the City of David at 7:15 a.m. and 8:45 a.m., respectively.
One-Day Tour. Tourists will be transferred by car from the City of David to Boquete town for about 40 minutes. Then, they will start a coffee tour in one of the well-known farms where they will experience coffee tasting, walking around the coffee farm, and learning about the coffee production process. Next, they will have lunch in a local restaurant to taste the flavor of the local cuisine, and then will visit the Butterfly House to learn about the different types of butterflies that live in the region. The last stop will be at the Observation Deck where they will enjoy a panoramic view of Boquete town. Around 4:00 p.m., tourists will be transferred to the airport and return to Panama City by 7:00 p.m.
Two-Day Tour. After hotel check-in in Boquete around 10:00 a.m., tourists will enjoy the coffee tour and then have lunch in a local restaurant. Then they will be transferred to the Pipeline Trail for trekking at the Baru Volcano National Park, where they will discover the natural beauty of the area, observing birds, monkeys and other animals. It takes about 4 hours, returning around 5:30 pm.
The next day, from 8:00 a.m. tourists will be transferred to Cerro Punta to visit Finca Dracula, which has one of the largest private collections of Panama orchids. It is a 2-hour drive to Finca Dracula, where tourists learn about the different varieties of orchids that populate Panama and will then have local lunch. They will return to Boquete to visit the Butterfly House and return to Panama City.
