Panama City Tour I

Casco Antiguo (Old Quarter). It is a world heritage site and the place where Panama City was relocated in 1673 after the British pirate Henry Morgan destroyed the original city in 1671. It is a historical area full of old-style colonial and French architecture buildings, including the Presidential Palace, several government ministries, national museum, Panama Canal Museum, ruins of colonial churches, among others. It is also a good place to buy souvenirs. Duration: 1:30 hr.
Panama Canal Miraflores Locks. It is a good place to observe the operation of the Panama Canal, and includes a historical tour inside the building, a documentary movie, and Observation Deck to watch the ships passing by the Canal. Duration 2:00 hr.
The Bridge of the Americas. There is a stop at an Observation Deck built by the Chinese community, at one end of the Bridge, to honor more than 150 years of Chinese presence in Panama. It is a good place for taking good pictures of the Pacific entrance of the Panama Canal. Duration 20 mins.
Causeway of Amador. It is a land bridge connecting three islands, Naos, Perico and Flamenco. It was built by the US military during World War II to protect the Pacific entrance of Panama. The place houses several ocean-view restaurants, duty free shops and marina, and a beautiful view of ships approaching to enter the Panama Canal. Duration: 1:30 hr.
